Yes, the oldest dancehall in Texas is a bit of a legend. So many country greats have played there over the years. Hopefully, it will go on for years to come. This was a fun one to create, took some artistic license with it.
This is the fourth in the series of rearview mirror paintings. Once again it is occurring in the Texas panhandle where there are plenty of wide open spaces! I just love how the reflection totally takes over the colors of the truck. There is not a bit of gold on that mirror, the evening sun just does that!
Years ago I painted this reference but it was flipped. I had created it in a square format.....all cat!! So when I came across this photo reference again, I was looking for something fun to paint. What could be more fun than a big ol' in your face cat eye!!
